Bedminster facelift with Eurobrick
Bristol based brick slip cladding specialist Eurobrick Systems, supplied its P-Clad system to be installed as part of the exterior refurbishment of Catherine’s House, carried out by Firmstone Developments. This recently completed project was phase 1 of Firmstone’s scheme to regenerate St. Catherine’s Place by converting Catherine’s House into residential apartments.
Catherine’s House, built in the late 1960s, was originally an office block that formed part of the wider St Catherine’s Place mixed-use precinct in Bedminster, a residential district south of the River Avon and just 20 minute walk from Bristol city centre.
The redevelopment project included adding two additional storeys to the original six-storey building, in order to provide a total of 54 contemporary one and two bedroom apartments, with views over the city.
Eurobrick was delighted to be involved with this local project. With almost 30 years experience working with redevelopment projects, its P-Clad system was the perfect choice for providing a real brick finish to the project.
Eurobrick supplied around 1500m² of its P-Clad system, along with Rustic Golden Multi brick slips and Rustic Red Charcoal Multi brick slips from its Britannia range and Ketley Dudley Blue brick slips from its Classic range. As part of the overall mixed palette of finishes that included render and Trespa, Eurobrick helped to give Catherine’s House a complete facelift. The resulting contemporary development is the first step in reinvigorating the area and creating a vibrant community at St Catherine’s Place.
