New regulation Part O “Overheating in Homes”

Before COP26 the Climate Change Committee identified passive measures to prevent overheating as one of 8 critical mitigations needed.

Dynamic shading with shutters and blinds is actually the insulation of the windows and the facilitator of large areas of glazing.

Over 20% of new buildings overheat, in our case study the temperature in the apartment with external louvre blinds was 18° lower than the unshaded room.
